★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 舊的人事物，都是歷史上的代表性，先人走過的痕跡，留給後人去追念，可是時代的進步，台灣已經沒有歷史了，我跟自己的孩子談起歷史，孩子們卻說現在的課堂上，已經不教歷史課程，難怪現今的小孩難教，因為綠化之後不再有從前，只能在老一輩的人口述中得知歷史。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東門路附近，保存較為完整的一片城牆，連結城牆的是東門，從另一側看為鳳儀門，城牆前方有水渠，是之前護城河的位置，可以在城牆上方看到假設大砲的砲台，可沿著下方的紅磚步道行走，觀賞舊城風光。
