The Xiaoyan Sugar Factory, also known as the Jiali Sugar Factory, was established in 1905. It started to make sugar in 1908. It was the first new sugar factory established in Taiwan by the Meiji Sugar Co., Ltd. during the Japanese occupation. In 1998, the sugar industry was closed down. Later, The reuse of unused space, Xiaoyu Cultural Park was established in 2003, and the appearance of the art base is coming back. The Xiaoyu Cultural Park is really a leisure paradise for the locals. The space for the transformation of the sugar factory has always been a tourist attraction with a taste of Tainan. The exterior is like a park. The original warehouse and factory buildings have become various art exhibitions. The reserved roof beams and columns, looking up from the bottom up, the geometric lines radiating in the blue sky, coupled with the greenery next to it, is a very comfortable scenery. Walking between the factory warehouses, passing through long tunnels, the sun passes through the beams and columns through the treetops, and the imprints are imprinted on the gray walls and the ground. Visitors shuttle between them and enter and exit the exhibition hall. This belongs to Tainan. The art style is laid back.

Seeing the slides, Taiwan sugar ice, large grass, and old trains, I was so happy that I was crazy, and there were many exhibitions in the warehouse, especially the light and shadow games (similar to shadow play) in the Children ’s Museum, and my two-year-old son. This is an old sugar factory in the Japanese era. The environment is sanitary and beautifully furnished. It is a good place for holiday leisure and entertainment. The ice pops from the Taiwan Sugar Factory next to it are delicious.
