Freaking expensive, One shabu shabu pot/pax was quoted at NT1500! I've ordered unagi temaki @ NT150, but the quality was super not up to standard! U can find a much more decent one at a cheaper price elsewhere

Awesome sushi for this American business traveler! Wondered upon this place while checking out other sushi places that were mapped on Google -- this one wasn't. Glad we found this one on our own because the places from the original sushi search did not look good at all. I feel that this is a great spot for any traveler looking to find that authentic experience off the beaten path.

Been going to this place since I was a little kids, that’s about 20 years ago. It was once favored by many Taiwanese seeking very best in Japanese / Taiwan style cuisine. Why I call this place Japanese / Taiwan style? because it is kind of Japanese food that has evolved years since Japanese / Taiwan era, hence the food is different from original Japanese cuisine. It is kind of sad to see in review some people complain about this place not getting Oyakodon right, but then again this place only serve these kind of menu for business lunch where value is concern above all else. If you only come to this place for Don style meal then you have come to the wrong place. The correct way to sample the best this place has to offer, do as follow: sit at bar, ask chief to make you Nigirizushi out of today’s catch, this is the way how my Dad used to enjoy this place. (beware it gets kind of expensive, last time we dine here it cost about NTD1500 per person) For me, I always order from their Oden / Kantoni 關東煮 for white radish 白蘿蔔 / daikon and fried tempura 甜不辣 , their Oden stock has been boil since day one and it is the best Oden in the Taipei, and I highly recommended.

place is clean, not too expensive if u not order something like sashimi.

Best Japanese meal I ever had in my life. The toro was in season and super fresh. Amazing!

It's okay. The food lacks flavor and quality. I got the katsu donburi and it was pretty bad. The fried pork was soggy. It was not at all crispy. They covered it in ketchup which I did not like. There was also rice. So just to sum up, it was poorly breaded fried pork, ketchup and rice. There is an English menu available. Be aware that there will be a 10% service charge. This seems to be the case for most of the restaurants in the area since there are a lot of tourists.

Waiter’s service can be better improved. Menu with pictures would better illustrate for the not so Chinese-savvy tourists Fresh sushi that’s a little on the pricey end. Overall still manageable not bad.

It's been here for quite a long time. Say..um 30 plus years. It attracts a lot of senior customers, so are young customers. Food is tasty and fresh. Service is good. Price is also reasonable.
