 It’s a beautiful building from the Japanese era, but unfortunately it was used by the Public Sales Bureau. The air-conditioning and iron windows were installed randomly. It deserves a better owner.

The beautiful Baroque architectural style during the Japanese Occupation period makes people reluctant to look away. It is located in Zhongzheng District, adjacent to Nanmen Market and Taiwan Museum Nanmen Park. It is a good place for parents and children to visit historical sites on a day trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日治時期為鴉片專賣局，現今為菸酒公賣局使用，建築為紅磚砌牆保留著當時文藝復興建築特色，現今建築依舊美麗可惜外牆多了現代產物（冷氣），有礙觀瞻，相信建築物要是有感情肯定會哭哭抗議
During the Japanese rule, it was the Opium Monopoly Bureau. Today it is used by the Tobacco and Wine Monopoly Bureau. The building is a red brick wall that retains the characteristics of the Renaissance architecture at the time. The building is still beautiful today. Unfortunately, the outer wall has more modern products (air-conditioning), which is unsightly. I believe that if the building has feelings, it will cry and protest

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 【台灣煙酒公賣局「台灣總督府專賣局」】《國定古蹟》這座聳立在南門外的紅磚建築「平面」呈曲尺狀，「正門」圓頂設計及西洋柱的裝飾，為巴洛克風格建築～
「入口」設在轉角處，「中央尖塔」有點類似同時期所建的總督府，但正面的半圓形山頭卻是總督府所無～
它外觀上最令人醒目的是許多白色的橫帶與紅磚牆構成紅白相間的裝飾效果，造型華麗至極～
專賣局建築為仿英國維多利亞時期紅磚造風格，中央塔樓為日治時期臺北市重要的地標之一。
