★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TL;DR awesome place to dip your feet into Taiwanese cuisine. Not fancy, just tasty. You're getting what you pay for here.
Pros:
- extensive menu
- great ambiance
- tasty food
- outdoor seating
Cons:
- not the most hygienic (but then hygiene and tastiness seem to be inversely correlated in my experience for a certain caliber of restaurant)
Tips for foreigners:
- rice is all you can eat and self serve (free)
- grab your own beers. They will be added to your tab at the end
- order at least 1-2 random things each visit to expand your experiences
- ask for a menu and take your order sheet to the register when you're done selecting

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bad experience, the waiter is very rude ! when I arrived, I told to the server who take care for the reservation that we had a reservation with name Miss Shih, then she said : « reservation number ?» I tell her I don’t know ,but I think our reservation maybe 18 persons .she said no ,no 18 persons reservation tonight.I tell her maybe I had a mistake with number of persons ,I looked at her reservation notebook try to find our reservation. And she cover the name with her mobile phone (as photo ), I asked her why do you cover the information ?she repeat like a robot « reservation number » I think she have a serious problem in service .
Then when I start to eat , I pass by her side ,she whispered « 神經病 »(insane in Chinese) , I asked her « what do you say? » she just look far away.
If she want to treat the client as insane person ,she shouldn’t work there.
Never come back again .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is great and very local. It is a good place for local people to go with friends and colleagues to have dinner with some beers. It’s noisy but that how this kind of restaurant it is. The toilet smells bad but not dirty. If it can improves that part, I will give a 5 starts rating.
