Best Traditional market in Taiwan

D	Desmond on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to get breakfast! You might want to come early because the queue can get very long to the extend that it goes all the way down to the next block! I feel like it’s a bit overrated though!

H	Hsiang “Hsiang on Design” on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent Taiwanese breakfast place, I was skeptical, but sold after trying their food. For those who don't think that it taste any different than their local places, you probably don't have Taiwanese breakfast often and if you don't and/ or having it for the first time, its probably not worth the time to wait on line for this place. The fried dough stick is just a little bit crunchier and lighter, the showbing a little bit tastier (slightly sweet) to warrant the effort to get ther and endure the wait. The salty soy bean milk was excellent, super thick and tasty. the sweet showbing was also decent. overall the food was slightly better then the other Taiwanese breakfast place I have been, but I am picky and this is a town full of excellent places. btw people complain about the wait and then complained that they felt hurried by the staff, well if you aren't then wouldn't the wait be even longer?
R	Rik De Busser on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small traditional market that could do with some modernisation, and a bit more attention to hygiene. The shops downstairs sells knick knacks mainly aimed at tourists. Its redeeming feature is that there are a number of great restaurants.
C	Carlos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place to have lunch, here you can find the famous soya shop, but you need to wait at least 20-50 minutes, depends which time you will visit. Try also the salad at the shop on the other side, very big bowl and worth the money.
C	Chris Manuele on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were told that this was one of the best breakfast spots around, and the enormous, wrap around the block line send to support that claim, but were thoroughly underwhelmed. The food was ok, but not worth the wait and the crowd. Seating was difficult and we felt pressured to finish quickly. I've had more enjoyable meals from random street vendors.
