★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Free admission to this old structure near North Gate, made of red bricks building with well maintenance. Strongly recommend the food stall beside this building. Must try the 'Tung Bo Meat' or the 'Pig's foot'.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very historical house, although rebuilt, is worth visiting. Also, it's very near to the Northern Gate, altogether a trip back to the history of Taipei. The shop next to here sells pork shank rice, it's very delicious, worth trying!

Has some old photos and exhibits from old Taipei.
A window into the past of Taipei.
Worth a visit if you like that kind of thing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most historical sites only have plaques describing their historical significance, this one has everything, from exhibit to tour guide! Also has a room in the back that rotates its exhibit content. It serves as a distribution point for certain community event brochures. All of these come with a grand admission price of "free"!
*Note*: it's very small, literally only 2 rooms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Close to the North Gate, Japan Post Office, and some historical buildings on Yanping South Road, Futai Street Mansion is also part of the history for your visiting on back to the ancient city of Taipei. This site is a very beautiful Japanese-style building that retains a very old Japanese contemporary appearance. If you went to the north gate, you might as well stop by.
