李記豆漿 - Datong District

Chanced upon this shop during our walkabout. Tried both types of the soy bean + the dumplings. Turned out better than expected. Thumbs up.

Good breakfast place for soya bean milk with Chinese pancakes with ham and eggs inside the pancakes. Also got dumplings and other small breakfast snacks.

Had a beautiful breakfast here, highly recommended! English menu available, just randomly pick a couple of items and enjoy!

Taiwanese breakfast shop, open from 6am to 2pm (at time of writing), has English menu (just ask at the cash register). Has delicious glutinous rice rolls, pan fried meat / vege buns, egg rolls, radish cakes.

Finally visited this traditional breakfast shop nearby my place. Their soybean milk is really nice and the sweetness level were listed clearly on menu, I had a bowl of hot soymilk with half sugar, it tasted exactly right, not really sweet at all. Then I ordered their soup dumplings 小籠湯包, okay, it’s more like dumpling buns than soup dumplings. Watch out! There’s NO soup inside of the dumplings, so I won’t recommend it to you if you are craving for the juicy broth exploded in your mouth. Which I was disappointed with it but the flavor was okay and filling, it’s just not what I expected though. And the chili sauce is not special or spicy at all, the slice of ginger were chopped by themselves cuz it’s kinda thick. That’s not big problem as this price? You may wanna walk few more blocks away to try soup dumplings from 四海豆漿 on the same road? About their fried dough 油條 here, it was too crispy for me, I couldn’t taste much dough inside, it’s the best when the dough soaked in the soybean milk bring more texture and flavor. But there are still more choice and inexpensive options to try definitely. I was attracted by their egg wrap/ Danbing 蛋餅, which is handmade crepe by the owner. I would visit again and leave another comments ? One thing I really like is they don’t use disposable utensils if you dine in! And clean environment. Such a wonderful job! Thumbs up ? ??

I like walking the back streets in the old districts of Taipei. It's even better when I discover cafés that serve simple local foods in a welcoming atmosphere. Hopefully this is not part of some huge corporate chain that I don't know about lol. They specialize in traditional Taiwanese breakfast here and close at 2pm every day. I got the freshly made ham & cheese crèpe with authentic homestyle flavor. The fried chive triangle had lots of filling and most importantly wasn't greasy and still crunchy...Add some chili soysauce to kick it up a notch.

Really love their pan-fried bao as it’s hot in the inside and crispy at the bottom. Chinese omelette is ordinary but chewier than others. Salt soybean milk has nice flavor, especially the dried fish flakes taste really good.
