★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best Malatang/Luwei I’ve had in the city. The owner is a very friendly lady from Sichuan who is chatty and accommodates requests. Good flavor, not too salty, with homemade seasoning and Sichuanese pickled veggies. I go 2-3 times a week. Her stuff is actually spicy (rare in Taipei)... medium spicy is actually quite hot so I’d recommend 少辣 (less spicy) for your first time. This is more of a mainland 香辣 flavor as opposed to the Taiwanese savory flavor. Take away only. Open late. One person can eat for about 120-200. Highly recommended!
