The way it uses booths to present dishes is supposed to show the nostagia, quite special, but somehow lack of the inner affection. Too bad...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dropped by here on Friday night, surprisingly not so crowded as usual. Expensive (above expectation) and food taste below expectation since usual days always crowded and queueing.
Sashimi was fresh, but other than that all feels not so fresh, small portion oden, overpriced 小菜 (no pricing for each dish so feel like they just say whatever price they want), waitress sounded very impatient with customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant or diner emphasizes traditional but simple Japanese flavor, such as sashimi, sushi, oden , miso soup, and other inexpensive dishes, including Taiwanese vegetable dishes and occasional hams or cold cut dishes.
The restaurant means in Food Vendor in Small Lane, and it is essentially self-served diner which requires customers to order and pick the dishes themselves, although waitresses will help if customers have too many dishes or their dishes needed to be warmed up or cooked or further processed.
The female staffs or waitresses, who are also cashiers, are relatively friendly, while male staffs are generally chefs.
Because of Covid -19 pandemics, the restaurant shut down for about 2 months and reopens from July 01 in small scale. As of 09/17/2021, the restaurant operates in limited scale, with seating allowed in one half of its regular seating area. Also, the restaurant closes at 07PM in Covid pandemics.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a nice suprise. We were looking for something light and cheap. We found this 50 year old establishment down some alley. The unagi (Japanese eel) was especially nice. Good place for a light snack.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional Taiwanesw style of Japanese dish. Hidden in a small lane, it closes to Taipei Circle market (MRT Zongsan station), very popular among local people and foddies. Must try their Oden and sushi roll!
(Be minded the place might not that as clean as Japanese store, but worth to try)
