★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Several street stalls along Bao An street with tables set up inside the temple courtyard . The food is delicious and cheap but definitely crowded so come early as things do sell out. To get the full experience of dishes, you need to order from several different vendors and so might take a while for dishes to arrive. But worth it for the food

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situated in a temple courtyard, with tall trees offering breeze, the location is perfect for a traditional morning brunch. Food is tasty and very reasonable. Be sure to arrive before noon, as dishes sell out. The tables are regularly full, so expect at 10 min wait for an open seat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Congee is really delicious. Light, flavorful fluffy rice. Fried side dishes are also very yummy. Had the fried oyster and pork which were super crunchy and went with the congee so well. Only complaint would be the consistency. Sometimes you get big beautiful pieces of pork and other times you get little nubbins which is a bit upsetting. The setting is very nice. Outdoor seating by a temple under huge trees that provide a little shade. Tables are kept reasonably clean. Prices are reasonable. Wait is a bit long when there’s a lot of costumers. Maybe expect ten minutes wait.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some kind of traditional Taipei breakfast, each deep fried dish is worth a try. The best thing is sitting in front of the historic temple nearby having these dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect Taiwanese iconic meat porridge, the soup is light but delicate. I would like to recommend their sides, all of them are spectacular and outstanding. Especially deep fried pork and prawn. It honestly reflect the life style of 80s Taipei.
