★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience here started with a long line. Luckily the line moves quite fast. It's been here forever and very popular amongst the locals. Even though the variety is limited but what they have was top quality and freshness. Sushi chefs really know how to handle their fish and their demanding customers at the same time. Bottomless fish miso soup here is also a favorite. It's cooked fresh and you can serve yourself anyway you like it, anytime you wish while dinning there. Do be careful about the fish bones that present themselves every now and then in the soup. I tried the sashmi deluxe the milkfish bellyside nigiri, raw shrimps, baked 香魚, which is a special kind of baked fish, soaked in a nice broth served cold. Fishbones are so fine to be eaten with the fish. Seasonal and full of fish roe. I must said this was a surprise find for me as it's the first time I've ever had this fish served this way! A pleasant surprise, indeed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located inside a wet market, you have to queue up to place your order and seats are always almost full. Sashimis are fresh and portions are not stingy. Above the minimal spending (NTD200 per pax), you get to enjoy their bottomless miso soup (unlimited refills).
Highly recommended is their 滷香魚 (braised ayu fish also known as sweetfish).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This bustling stall inside the 永樂 market in Dihua serves excellent Japanese food at affordable prices. They have all the usual sushi/sashimi selections you would expect but everyone seems to order the 香魚. This fish initially seems similar to canned fish with melt in your mouth meat, bones, and roe. If you like intense fishy but sweet umami 重口味 flavor like I do, then this will be right up your alley. A delicacy for sure. Don't be intimidated by the long line of foodies as it goes by fast and is worth the wait.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is located in a market, and might need to walk around to look for it. First of all, it is quite packed, we arrived 1030, after that queue starts and more ppl waiting, some need to share table with strangers.
Food waiting time is not too long as it is raw, of course. Assorted sashimi quality is consider good and fresh at this price, thick and happy. Salmon sashimi is good as well however 2 slice is a little less fresh. Finally we also ordered sushi, the fish meat felt like being cut yesterday or overnight, still ok but very less pleasant.
Soup is free if your order is more than 200/person, taste just average, too much tofu.
Finally, may think again to come back, maybe just for the assorted sashimi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had never see the free miso soup that is so full of tofu and fish cake. They also give you a big bowl which you can refill as much as you want. I see the people next to me do it multiple times before the food is served. I wonder if they come here for the soup. Flavor is on the lighter side. As for sushi, the fish is very fresh and tasty, but the rice is average. The shrimp salad is interesting cut, but I really don’t like salad with mayonnaise. It would be so great if it’s with citric dressing.
