If you think it's old, it's relatively new. I didn't have anyone, so I only visited them.
The building itself is great.

The original stone academy, which had become a temporary medical institution during the Japanese occupation period, was feared to be destroyed by local people. It was persuaded and run by the Japanese who also advocated Confucianism, and later changed to the Confucian Temple. It is recommended that you can first go to the living museum next to you, and you can first understand the relevant historical evolution.

Located next to the Penghu Living Museum, Magong Wenshi Academy is empty and sparse, with a feeling of thinking about the past and a strong sense of admiration.

Penghu Confucius Temple is located in Xiwenli, Magong City, Penghu County, next to the Penghu Living Museum. The school is called Aragonite Academy because it is built with aragonite, a local specialty of Penghu.
The current Confucian Temple buildings were all rebuilt in 1999, including the Dacheng Hall and the East Hall, the West Hall and the Dacheng Gate, the Lingxing Gate and the Chongsheng Temple, etc. Only the Dengying Building (Kuixing Building) is the remains of the Aragonite Academy. The door walls, window lattices, and eaves corners of the building are quite delicate. The building is a traditional Chinese-style attic in the former Qing Dynasty. In addition, there are several stone tablets from the Daoguang or Guangxu years of the Qing Dynasty on the left side facing the Dacheng Hall, which are also worth seeing. .
