★ ★ ★ ★ ★ traditional Japanese food you can find in Taipei, price is not so high, 600~700/person for a meal. not greasy not heavy, weird thing is everything is cheap but the noodle itself. anyway, delicious and recommend someone who wants to try some japanese food for find a place to talk other than a bar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Man oh man. I tried the omokase and everything I put into my mouth was increasingly delicious. The fish is fresh and the Uni is some of the best I’ve had. Definitely sit at the bar and have a few shots or beers with the chefs and they’ll take good care of you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little shop that will transport you to Japan with their hospitality and food. Listed as a soba shop but more like your local izakaya. However, they do prepare and hand cut their soba daily. It’s a good finisher after all your small dishes. Menu available in both Japanese and Chinese. You may have difficulty if you just know English.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WOW. Is all I can say. The chef and the staff were all very keen and friendly. Food was amazingly fresh. They have a limited selection of sashimi, and a wide variety of tapas to pair with beer / sake. The soba is a must! They serve cold and hot soba, handmade by the chef. Coming to this store will instantly bring you back to Japan. But remember to call to reserve before visiting, especially during weekends. There's a parking lot next to the store, so don't worry if you are coming by car.
