Atmosphere: I was surprised the place doesn't stink from the yakitori grilling at all. Excellent! Place isn't big, but pretty good for a small crowd.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Japanese yakitori restaurant is decorated with beautiful karesansui-style garden outside. A large varieties of portion from chicken are used in their yakitori, including chicken livers, hearts, gizzards, and cartilages. All of them are well roasted with charcoal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1500NT plus they ask for an extra 100NT for a “small dish appetizer fee”. I anticipated my meal but sadly was met with disappointment. They had a nice and friendly service but the lady behind the grill seemed unhappy and no life behind her eyes. Overall the entire meal was very salty compared to other yakitori places I’ve been to. Perhaps that is why they offer a bowl of grated daikon to “wash your palette” and offer a very bland 100NT starter appetizer. When it came to the skewers the chicken/scallion and the supposed special chicken oyster were both overcooked (on the dry side). The tsukune were decent. Sadly my favorite part of the meal was the fried shishamo, chawanmushi and the oyakodon. I think if I ever do return I would only come and order their rice dishes. And that’s a big if.
