The Montessori Enlightenment Research Foundation is founded by Professor Shan Weiru (formerly the Deputy Director of the Railway Bureau), the founding chairman of the foundation. Since 1983, it has combined some domestic people with a deep sense of national concern and in-depth research on Montessori early childhood education. Founded in 1985 (Republic of 1974) approved by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, it is the only unit in Taiwan that specializes in Montessori teacher training. Since its establishment 35 years ago, it has been committed to promoting high-quality Montessori enlightenment education. More than 30,000 Montessori teachers will be cultivated on the island of Taiwan. It cooperates with Montessori units in the United States to study in the United States and obtain AMS. There are more than 500 lecturers with international licenses, masters, and doctoral degrees. These excellent teachers provide services in Taiwan, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc. There are Chinese everywhere; there are more than 1,330 officially registered Montessori kindergartens, nurseries, and childcare centers in Taiwan. These excellent Montessori seed teachers are scattered in counties and cities across the province for deep cultivation, sprouting and growing, and they have been recognized by those concerned about early childhood education on this beautiful island.
