★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1959年8月31日由雙連教會租用南京東路三段十六號開設禮拜，起初約有三、四十名左右。1964年聘張逢昌牧師駐堂牧會，於1965年舉行張牧師就任首任牧師禮拜，同年遷往新堂（龍江路76巷23號）舉行感恩禮拜﹐並更改教會名稱﹐由「南京路第一教會」改為第一教會
On August 31, 1959, the Shuanglian Church rented No. 16 Section 3 of Nanjing East Road for the opening ceremony. At first, there were about 30 or 40 people. In 1964, Rev. Zhang Fengchang was hired to serve in the church. In 1965, Rev. Zhang became the first pastor to worship. In the same year, he moved to Xintang (No. 23, Lane 76, Longjiang Road) to hold a thanksgiving service, and changed the name of the church. First Church
