Very warm and great church

A warm, warm-hearted church, and an elder event, great

Comfortable space in the jungle, small and beautiful church, a great place to enjoy a moment of peace

This is a very good church, although it is not big, but the respect for the Lord is equally humble.

My first encounter with this Grace and Gifts Lutheran Church was in about 7 or 8 years ago, I came here to attend a memorial service for a friend, who passed away for systemic lupus erythematosus (红斑性Lupus), I only knew this ailment by name, but witnessed that my friend's life had been devastated, including her job career, her marriage, and even her livelihood by it. By that time, the church was situated on a rather big piece of land, spotted with loosely held old dilapidated houses, only the church stood as a serene sanctuary, then in about 2018 or 2019, the church had to move to her current address, for the whole piece of land had been consolidated, and a big housing project was underway, my rough calculation was that the whole land's area could be as big as at least 3,000 square meters, this area will be changed after the completion of the huge housing project. Then, I'm wondering what will happen to the church. Usually in Taipei, when a church is not big enough to erect its own free standing hall of faith, the arrangement will be an agreement between the church and the developer, for the church to occupy a prominent location in the new building, and the church becomes a key part of the development. I saw such cases at Nanking E. Rd. (南京东路), and Kuangfu S. Rd. (光复南路). I then logged to the church's website, and found this church started its service in the early 1950's, and has been in service over 70 years. And the church did own the land, that meant they had the right to demand as my above mentioned, hopefully we can see the new church in 2 or 3 years to come. As other commentators have said, small and beautiful, I have attended the memorial service here. In downtown Taipei, it is rare for such independent churches and small gardens. The courtyard was quiet on Sunday morning, and believers should gather in the church. See the sign, welcome to take photos, great. After passing, I saw that the old building of the church had been demolished, and preparations were even better. The new meeting place was moved to Guangfu North Road.

The old church, moved in 2017, has been demolished, and the progress is even slower. There is a lack of work and materials, and I don’t know when it will be completed.
