The best liquor store in the East District hand down. The petite that work there are exceptionally helpful. The prices are also excellent.

I bought a bottle of Dewers whiskey that wouldn’t pour because of a plastic stopper that I couldn’t remove. I used a knife to open the inner stopper, but when I poured a drink and had a few sips, there were many small pieces of plastic in my drink. When I went to return the bottle, the manager was not sympathetic to the issue at all. He told me he doesn’t know of this issue, and it’s never happened before. He asked for pictures of the plastic in my drink, but I hadn’t taken any pictures. The bottle only have 1 serving of alcohol poured out, but he refused to give a refund because it wasn’t a full bottle. There was no attempt to understand the issue, or apology that I had this problem. I had swallowed small pieces a plastic with my drink, my friend and I even having to spit out larger pieces, but the only thing the manager cared about was NOT refunding my money. He told me that I should have googled how to open this bottle of whiskey, made me feel foolish for not know what to do with this bottle, and showed no kindness in his words. Really deplorable customer service that made me feel embarrassed and belittled. I highly recommend you find the next closest liquor store if you want to be treated like a respected customer.

Friendly staff, good collection of gin and whiskey, and price is reasonable. Overall a very pleasant experience.
