★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The beef noodles soups is awesome. Been out of Taiwan over 30 years, this is the place it reminded me of my childhood beef noodles soup.
Update: Return to this beef noodles shop recently (2020) and it seems to have changed ownership.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant serves absolutely the No.1 beef noodle in Taiwan. The beef itself is well cooked and the texture is so good. The soup amazed my tongue with pleasing scent and flavor. Overall, I love it so much and I'll definitely come here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Little noodle shop in the middle of a residential area. Don't let this shops location or tiny size discourage you from trying. 潮州街林記牛肉麵 makes a very good beef noodle soup. You can add an egg to your beef noodle or you can have a bowl without. If you dine in, you can add the pickled mustard greens and lard into your soup to enhance the flavor. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area. I would also recommend the tofu and cucumber small dish.

It serves the best 麻醬麵I have ever tasted in Taiwan and is definitely a must buy.
The beef noodle soup is also delicious.
If you are in the neighborhood, this place is worth a try!
