The development of life sciences (biological sciences) in the past two decades has been surging and has made great contributions to the well-being of human beings and the maintenance of the environment; the application of biotechnology has broken through the bottleneck of the slow development of medicine and agriculture, and helped solve diseases, food, resource utilization and other problems. The problem of environmental protection has led to the next wave of industrial revolution. In addition, the trend of teaching and research of biological sciences has broken the original way of distinguishing biological groups (such as zoology, botany, entomology, fishery, etc.) Molecular biology, cytology, physiology, ecology, evolutionary biology, etc. In view of this forward-looking concept of life science, our school established the School of Life Science in the 1992 academic year, including 2 departments and 5 research institutes in the university department. Among them, the "Department of Life Sciences" is formed by the integration of some members of the Department of Zoology, the Department of Botany, and the Institute of Fisheries Science in the School of Principles. A required course.
