Pretty average cheap Lu-Wei, not worth the queue. Additional one star for having 茭白筍 on the menu.

I love eating Luwei, it is such a comfort food and bring togetherness with friends and family. This place used to be inside Shida market near the 7-11 inside, but they moved outside near the university. upon ordering, you take the basket and with some tongs and just pick up any kind of food you want to take and cook together. You can choose meat, vegetable, noodles and etc. They cooked in herbal water and will taste all together bring and put in all Big plate. They will count the price depends on what you take, you can take little or many will decide the price. I roughly eat around 300 NTD/group when i take the food. Overall it is good to share together. They have sitting area at underground, but each person need to order drink around 30 NTD/glass and can sit inside. What you pick is what you get, and the likely hood of you over ordering is quite high. That’s just too much. I had seen a group of friends share a massive plate with at least 15 ingredients! But tell you, it’s worth every bit of the wait. Overall i like Luwei very much at this place compared to other place. will definitely come back again and eat here. :)

A must eat in Taipei. A great variety of innards, vegetables, tofu and meat to choose from. Add the instant noodles! Good for sharing. Self-service aka do remember to pick up your food orders from the counter. If you wanna eat in, you are required to purchase a drink from the bubble tea counter before going to the basement dining area.

Not too bad. Wide variety of ingredients to choose from. Recommended ones are prince noodle (王子麵), duck blood. Personally, I prefer the other as popular 滷味 store inside the night market. Comparatively, it is less flavourful & lesser quantity for the same price. For dine-in, there is a minimum spending of NT30 on drinks for each person. Dining area will pose an issue for customers with strollers/ wheelchair are it is at the basement with no lifts.

Lu-Wei is a kind of braised dishes. The different is you pick up what you want first in a basket and they will help you braise the food. It’s interesting it cook with the same sauce, but actually tasted all different. I had it many times in Taiwan. This one is one of my favorites, although the price is a bit high than usual. Be careful what you pick if you don’t eat intestines.

One of my favorite Lu-Wei shop. Good spot for dining, wide variety of ingredients to choose from. Price is slightly higher than other shop, but reasonable. Highly recommended. A must eat if you visit Shida Night Market. The only feedback: enhance quality control. I once ordered via uber eats at midnight, and it tasted differently.

During my quarantine period at the hotel, my wife UberEat ordered this famous street food to the hotel. I anxiously anticipated this feast. Sadly, after tasting a few bites, the entire bag was a tasteless food. I was totally disappointed. I don’t think it carried the name justifiably. I can’t recommend this restaurant at all.
