Originated from the poor relief organization in the Qing Dynasty, the Banqiao Lin Family was founded in the pre-Qing Tongzhi period at 243 Guangzhou Street, the oldest social welfare organization in Taiwan. Later, in the Qing Dynasty, Renji Sanatorium was founded on Xiyuan Road.
