Great food/sevice/presentation. Definitely one of Taipei's best Japanese restaurants.

It was an old-fashion, butique-style restaurant. The food was alright and the price is reasonable considering we got lobster and toro. I might actually enjoy the food if it wasn't for the service. After seating, the owner greeted with us while we were waiting for the last person in our party arrived, and never left our table side since. She rudely interrupted our conversation and dining, shockingly drank our beer to start, unpleasently put food into our friend's mouth, presisted her monologue about how she runs her business and her upcoming reservations. She created awkward moments and disrupted her own creation -- the moment to enjoy food. Also, it was a gathering with friends who haven't seen each other for a long time and it was difficult to arrange time together. We really would have used the dining time to catch up, but we didn't had any chance because of her consistent interruption. I signeled her by ignoring her and shifting conversation back to our friends, man, but she presisted! She NEEDS that attention! At the end I had enough and literally told her 'why don't you take a break.' Geehz! I got the Taiwanese kind of getting connected with your customers, and I have certain level of tolernace of that. But this is way too much. Please only preform it for the customers you are actually familiar with, not the first-timers! Not recommend to anyone who want to have quality of time and quality of dining experience.

The best value-for-money Omakase dinner I've ever had. The lady boss plays a delightful and entertaining host. She hops from one table to another gregariously; drinking with the diners while sharing her life story. The lady boss' charm - that includes feeding me with food from her own hand - matches those top grade qualify food served in this Japanese restaurant. If you only have 1 night in Taipei, I'd recommend you to visit this place.

What an interesting experience eating here. There’s no menu so you can’t order. What you’re gonna eat depends on what’s fresh and available on the day and what the owner/ chief (an interesting lady) feels like!

I've been there a number of times whenever I visit Taipei and this is really a very special and unique restaurant. They do not have any menu for you to select, but the owner (which is a very nice lady) will ask you if there's anything that you don't eat or like. They serve Japanese cuisine in general and they will serve till you are so full that you have to tell them its enough for today XD. The owner is very nice too, she will chitchat with you if you speaks mandarin, and she will also drinks with you too!
