The fish cake store [restaurant] is famous for cabbage rolls [two rolls per one plate] in steam, black sticky rice cakes in pork flavor, and fish cake bowl of the mixed variety- few types of fish cake, white carrots and steamed-fried bean curds. Food service was fast because customers would order their selections from menu in display, pay the food price upfront, and carry the food tray with food dishes provided by the store clerks immediately. Food dishes were simple but tasty, although store-provided sauce was a little heavy and salty for some people, while younger customer or visitors may love flavors to add hot spicy sauce. Vegetable roll is a popular side dish for many customers, and it is NOT oily. Customers can add minced garlic and red hot pepper paste to our sauce. Soup was free and for refill. Total Food price for lunch was not expensive but serving size may not be sufficient as the standard lunch for male customers. The store was created in 1965 and continues its operations until now. Because it was Sunday today, restaurant was full of customers for take-out and eat-in, although most customers would leave the restaurant immediately after they finish their meal. The store wall does have a few photos and paintings which depict its development history from cart street vendor to the store operator.

Taiwanese version of tempura, very good and the hot soup is unlimited, don’t forget put some sauce that’s on the side, super busy and very old shop, don’t forget to come give a try.
