On March 17, 2015, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture passed the designation of one of the most famous hospitals in Wanhua during the Japanese occupation, the Chaobei Hospital, as a historic site. The "Chaobei Hospital" at No. 181, Section 2, Guiyang Street, designated as a historic site, is decorated with beautifully washed stones on the facade of the building. The clay sculpture decoration is very distinctive, especially the hanging flower ornaments, which are rare in Taipei City. Li Chaobei was born in 1893. He graduated from Taiwan's Governor's Office School of Medicine (the predecessor of National Taiwan University School of Medicine) in 1919. From 1936 to 1939, he served as the first elected member of the Taipei City Council of Taipei during the Japanese occupation. In 2.1921, Chaobei Hospital was opened at the intersection of Guiyang Street and Xiyuan Road. He once worked as the president of Lin Benyuan Bo'ai Hospital and has been in medicine for more than 50 years. Departments of consultation include internal medicine, pediatrics, ear and nose, dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, trauma sutures, etc. 3. The façade of the north-facing hospital is quite interesting. It is not a tall and wide building, but it has a semi-circular gable, as if wearing a big hat, with a rather exaggerated ribbon decoration inside, and it looks like a big beard.
