所謂陂塘是指山上流下來的水天然形成的水塘,
"陂"與"埤"相通;
陂字在日治時期被改為"坡"字;
所以現在很多地名"坡",其實是陂的意思.
"陂口"約在吳興街公車站附近,
"舊陂"在聯勤兵工學校,技訓中心附近,
"新陂"在吳興街600巷,
所以糶米公廟叫做"新坡嶺糶米公廟".
和興炭坑旁那條溪叫做"舊埤溪".

So now a lot of place names "slope" is actually awkward.
"陂口" is near the Wuxing Street bus stop.
"Old 陂" is in the joint service school, near the technical training center,
"Xinyi" is in Lane 600, Wuxing Street.
Therefore, the glutinous rice temple is called "Xinpo Ling glutinous rice temple".
The river next to Hexing Charcoal is called "Old Tunxi".
