Shidong Church was established on March 9th, 1980 (Peking University Memorial Sunday). It was developed by the mother church Shilin Church and purchased a house. The service began on March 16. At the beginning, there were no regular members, but believers from all over the country moved to the vicinity of Shidong, and they moved in and joined the catechumens. The church started from more than 30 square meters at the beginning. After the first church was built, the temple expansion was completed on September 29, 1985. Thanksgiving service was completed. The house next to the church was bought and opened up, and the space doubled.
