Mr. Zhang Daqian was born in Neijiang, Sichuan in the 25th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1899), and died in April 1983. His real name was Zhang Zhengquan, and later changed his name to Zhang Yan, Zhang Yuan, and Zhang Xuan. His nickname was Ji, the word Jiyan, the law name is Daqian, and he was not signed Daqianjushi, Xiali Hong Kong native, Zhai name Dafengtang, and he has stayed since he was 21. Wearing a big beard has since become his registered trademark; the publication of "Dafengtang Copying Dunhuang Murals" in 1943 made the art world pay more attention to the preservation and essence of Chinese cultural relics, and made considerable contributions. Since 1948, he has moved to Hong Kong, Argentina, Brazil, the United States and other countries finally settled in Taiwan in 1977.
The overall building of the Zhang Daqian Memorial Hall was designed by Mr. Zhang Daqian himself. On the wall of the living room on the first floor is a group photo of Mr. Picasso meeting with the Western painter Picasso in Paris in 1956. The art world is likened to a summit meeting of Eastern and Western art; the studio is located in the first floor. Next to the living room of the building, there are pictures of her husband in the Dunhuang Grottoes and a picture of the old man made by Mrs. Zeng Youzhen in the spring of 1918 on the wall. There is also a wax figure of Mr. Zhang Daqian in the studio. Painting tools are displayed on the desk, and tables and pillars are hanging. With many paintbrushes.
There is also a specimen of ape beside the wax figure of Mr. Zhang Daqian. Because of the reincarnation of black ape by his husband, he used to enjoy playing with apes and often paints with apes as the subject during his lifetime. There is also a small reception room on the first floor for Mrs. Zhang to receive female guests. The restaurant is located on the south side of the first floor. Mr. Zhang Daqian is also a well-known gourmet. The "Bin Banquet Food Post" on the wall is a menu for Mr. Zhang Yuejun and others in 1959. Now this painting is collected by Mr. Lin Baili; Zhang Daqian Memorial Hall The Yiran Pavilion, Fenhan Pavilion, and Kao Pavilion in the backyard are pleasing to the eye.
The Zhang Daqian Memorial Hall focuses on preserving the former residence and recreating the living and living environment of Mr. Zhang Daqian. It also displays photos and various potted plants with strange stones. The paintings on the walls are reproductions, because the Zhang Daqian Memorial Hall is located in the Waishuangxi area, which is extremely humid. The paintings must be collected in a professional environment, and all the original paintings of Mr. Zhang Daqian are collected in the Palace Museum.
The Zhang Daqian Memorial Hall, also known as the Maya Abode, was completed in August 1967. It covers an area of 578 pings and the built ping is 222 pings. Located at the water bifurcation of Waishuangxi, the two-storey courtyard building was designed and built by the husband himself, and the Chinese-style garden is matched with it (the text comes from the official website).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Master Zhang Da-qian is one in five hundred years in the history of China who possesses great talent in painting. The place is where Zhang had resided in the last few years of his life. He is the first resident of the area where two streams merging and split into two again. He had made the area as pleasant as he could to enable himself inspired in his works. Visitors will have glimpses of how he lives. There are interesting flora and fauna in his collections. Everything there touches my heart as I am a great fan of Zhang. His stories are fascinating. It's like everything relives in front of my very own eyes. Really amazing!
