Portion size was pretty good, more than we could finish. Service I must say was just mediocre at best. If it was just a standard Taiwanese restaurant, probably would have given an extra star, but for a Michelin one star restaurant, it was a bit disappointing.

Private rooms for 12 or 15 people are also available. It would be proper to book a table 2 months in advance. There are 4 cuisines that reservation are required and each one of them are worth of trying: Buddha Jumps Over the Wall Soup, Crab Sticky Rice, Crispy Fried Duck, and pork stomach stuffed with chicken soup. Other cuisines such as crispy fried spareribs, prawns steamed in garlic broth, and fried rice noodle with pumpkin are all delicious!

It was my first time there and we ordered a few of their signature dishes: steam crab on sticky rice, deep fried spare rib, chicken, and pig liver. We also ordered a Chinese cabbage cooked with dried scallop, dried eel and fish skin. All are good to very good. The dishes have refined tastes, while most restaurants serving Taiwanese cuisine lean towards home cooking or down-to-earth tastes. The environment is clean and pleasant. Price is very reasonable considering the quality of food. The only downside is you have to book early, very early! But this is worth your effort.

Pork rib was way too greasy, Buddha jumps over the wall had very plain ingredients for the price and was very greasy too. The crab over the sticky rice lacked depth in flavor. The crab was overdone while the rice was underdone Service was underpar for a Michelin rated restaurant too. You had to call the waiters and waitress instead of making a slight gesture. There was no eye contact at all. Everything was a disappointment for my family. We've had much more authentic and better taiwanese cuisines in many other restaurants. I seriously want to challenge Michelin in re-evaluating this establishment.

Excellent service, delicious food, and the price was very reasonable. The staff were very polite and changed our plates frequently. Each course was well timed and arrived fresh and was easily shared on the turning table. Well there isn't a lot of transportation options apart from the bus, it is well worth the trip. I can recommend this restaurant, particularly if you have a group of 8 to 10 people.

The restaurant is very clean and has nice service, especially during COVID-19, they helped us to separate the food from our dishes. 3 dishes are always the best/ enough for 2 of us. The pork rib tastes really good and flavorful. The tofu one is a bit greasy and tastes too porky for me. I’m really not a pork person.
