When the weather is clear, the open space in front of the Buddha Pagoda has a very good view, and you can overlook Qixing Mountain, Datun Mountain, Miantian Mountain, Guanyin Mountain, etc. When the Xinbeitou at the foot of the mountain is full of people, it is also a rare quiet place.

J	J O on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good little climb for a view over Beitou. Nice and secluded spot. We went up on an overcast day around 4pm and came down with the cicadas ringing our ears!

There is a gate to block cars in the evening, but you can easily walk around and find a good spot to watch the sun go down. Its a paved road all the way to the temple, and so its not treacherous to walk back down in the dark if you have a flashlight. Just be aware that the road towards the temple is uphill the whole way.
