★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 為加拿大來台的傳教士吳威廉（William Gauld）於西元1912年所設計建造。當時附近信徒多為北投的平埔族人，在臺灣近代宗教發展史上具有見證的價值。
這座以紅磚及木屋架構成的小教堂，風格接近英式鄉村教堂，頗具特色。
 It was designed and built in 1912 by William Gauld, a missionary who came to Canada from Canada. At that time, the believers in the neighborhood were mostly Pingpu people from Beitou, which had the value of witness in the history of modern religious development in Taiwan.
This small church made of red bricks and wooden houses is similar in style to an English country church and is quite distinctive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 已設立１４２年的老教會；主後１８７６年３月２１日，由加拿大來的馬偕牧師所創立。融合了凱達格蘭人，閔南人，大陸人一起共同領受耶穌基督的愛，並發揚光大的地方。現在的古跡教堂，是１９１２年由加拿大的吳威廉牧師設計，並向加拿大母會募款，於６月完成。形式仿英國鄉間建築範疇；熟練的紅磚構造，哥德式飛扶牆建構在外牆→以增加教堂內的面積，及方正肅穆的感覺，以及正面的山牆都是她的特色。
The 142-year old church has been established; it was founded by Pastor Ma Kai from Canada on March 21, 1876. It is a place where people from Ketagalan, Minnan, and mainlanders jointly receive the love of Jesus Christ and develop it. The current monument church was designed by Pastor William Wu of Canada in 1912 and raised funds from the Canadian Mother Church, which was completed in June. The form imitates the category of British rural architecture; skilled red brick construction, Gothic flying buttresses are constructed on the outer wall → to increase the area of the church, and the sense of squareness and solemnity, as well as the front gable are her characteristics.
