★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite braised pork rice shop in Taipei. The 五花肉饭 (pork belbelly rice) and 鲁目鱼肚 (braised milkfish) are must-try dishes. It's way off the beaten path and known only to locals. Unfortunately it's rather far away from the city, and getting here needs a 30 minute subway ride if you are coming from Taipei Station, followed by a 20 minute walk. The other cons are that the staff is rather rude, especially when busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very delicious Taiwanese cuisine, including pork stew rice and pork braised rice as the top two recommendations! Other than these, fried milk fish and deep-fried Spanish mackerel nuggets are also very tasty. It's usually a long wait regardless of dine-in or take-out. Don't miss it if you're around.
