★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a small farming village sitting in the valley right beneath Xiaoyoukeng. The water draining from the mountain range feeds into this valley, watering the fertile soil left behind by the volcano. The mountain ranges also protect the valley residents from the strong winds during the typhoon season.
The farmers have shifted from growing rice to ecotourism. They now plant flowers that attract weekend visitors.
If you are able to avoid the crowds, you can still enjoy the tranquillity of the morning calm.
