★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 吳大猷先生是近代中國與台灣在物理研究以及科學發展方面的重要推手，兩位著名的諾貝爾物理獎得主李政道與楊振寧的老師。在這裡，紀念碑沒有華麗的裝飾，平淡的設置，在石板上寫著吳先生一輩子對家國的貢獻，駐足於此，讓人油然生出肅穆敬佩之情。此地沒有所謂高聳的紀念碑，有的只是一片石板。但這樣就夠了，吳先生的功績永垂不朽，毋須傳統意象的巨大石碑來錦上添花，同時也體現了吳先生恬淡的性格。
 Mr. Wu Dayou is an important promoter of physics research and scientific development in modern China and Taiwan, and is the teacher of two famous Nobel Prize winners Li Zhengdao and Yang Zhenning. Here, the monument has no ornate decorations, but a plain setting. It is written on the stone slabs of Mr. Wu's life-long contribution to his country. Stopping here makes people feel solemn admiration. There are no so-called towering monuments here, some are just slabs of stone. But this is enough. Mr. Wu’s achievements will be immortal, without the need for a huge stone monument of traditional imagery to add icing on the cake, and it also reflects Mr. Wu’s calm personality.
