★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has the best Xiao Long Bao and other traditional Taiwanese food in town. I've been living in Taiwan for almost four years and if I want to eat 小籠包 (xiaolongbao) I definitely come to this restaurant and I live 1 hour away from it. Super recommended. I think they do not have English menu though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many tourists here and is extremely busy at noontime; I suspect nighttime is the same. They are famous for their soup dumplings. At present, nt$80 for a basket. As you enter the premise, on the right is the white order form and on the left is the pink carry out form. Give your form to the cashier and pay and proceed to make ur little self served black vinegar with ginger dipping sauce. I cannot confirm nor deny but rumor has it, the head chef worked at the famous DTF. The redbean pancake is also a popular item.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great price for great local food here in Taipei. You don’t have to go to famous dingtaifon for the xiaolongboa, here is the place for you and no need to wait for a long time! I also enjoy their small side dishes, nature and healthy vegetables to serve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrived around 5.30pm on a Sunday evening, super busy, got taken to a shop next door so we didn't have to wait as long for a table (4 people). Ended up ordering takeout for family and ended up waiting a total of 35 mins (scallion pancake was being freshly made) and was offered a cold dish to compensate. Dumplings were good, couldn't read the menu (Aussie born Taiwanese) so relied on my uncle to order for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This steam dumpling place is not as well known as Din Tai Fung, but the steam bun here are out of this world, its fresh, juicy and delicious. Needless to say, the price here is much friendlier than Din Tai Fung!
NT$40 for a spring onion cake that is filled with lightly salted spring onion, pan fried crust provides the crunchy texture. A must order. NT$40 for appetizer dishes, can't describe them all, but can sum up just by one word: SPECTACULAR!
Vegetarian friendly too! you can order Taiwanese style cold noodle with sesame sauce or steam vegetable bun.
