But unfortunately the walkway wasn’t friendly under raining circumstances so I decided not to.
Plenty of posh cars there as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice decor with a koi pond within the premises. Just a stone’s throw away from Maokong station. Family of 4 adults and 1 kid had lunch here, 2 mains (rice & noodles), 2 sides (hotplate seafood, pork ribs), 4 dessert (osmanthus jelly) and 2 drinks added up to ~NT2000. Not the place to come if you are on a shoestring budget, however if you’re on a vacation and would like a place within walking distance to the cable car station, this is a place you can consider. Taxi carpool (NT75/pax) can be done back to the zoo if you do not wish to fork out NT120 for the return trip back via cable car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Neat little restaurant situared right by the Maokong stop with a great view of taipei 101 and the mountainous backdrop. We sat upstairs in the outdoor open area. The service was good. The menu isn't too broad and is a bit on the pricey side for the quantity you get. A couple of dishes were really good like the fried rice and the stirfried steak strips. The veggies were surprisingly super fresh. I ordered 9 dishes and it was just enough to feed 6 people. The view really is great. I'd recommend it if you don't mind shelling out a little bit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is not bad. Fried rice, chicken hotpot and spicy fried pork is good. The steamed mountain chicken is a cold dish, would have appreciated being told so first as we prefer hot food.
Service staff has a black face all the time. Definitely don’t feel welcomed. What a waste considering the place has nice deco and scenery. If service was just a little better we would have rated this place 5 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful decor and a warm atmosphere make the taste of the smooth-as-silk tea and flavorful food even better! Order a whole package of one of the top teas and then sit on cushions in your own private tasting area for the full experience. You'll even get to practice doing the tea ceremony yourself.
For food, the chicken was super tender, beef very flavorful, and local ferns/greens quite special.
