★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 由指南宮步道前往猴山岳登山，前段只是普通的樓梯步道，至猴山岳入口附近岔路後，往左行較為平坦，往右行為攀繩步道（或是說坡道），非常有趣，富有挑戰性，登上觀景台後景觀非常棒，是非常野生的步道，樓梯較少。建議天氣較好時前往，天氣不好時容易濕滑危險。好玩。
