The content of the inscription: In the middle of Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, immigrants from Quanzhou entered the wasteland of Kennei Lake and Creek. Because of fear of being invaded by the Malays, they built wood around Datieliao where they lived. They were used as a barrier to protect their lives and property, so they were called Muzha. village. In the first year of Yongzheng (1723 AD), it was affiliated to Danshui Fort, Tamsui Hall. Jiaqing was changed to Quanshan Fort, and Muzha Village was renamed Muzha Village. Because of the increase in population, the Neihu Village was built to accommodate it. The ground is on the side of the green hills and blue streams, and the scenery is extremely beautiful. It is difficult to determine when the gate was destroyed. The old site is about the north bank of the South Bridge of the present road, which is the area around the old street of Muzha. The above inscription was established by the Taipei Municipal Documentation Committee in 1982. The monument is located on the front embankment of No.118, Section 1, Zhizhi Road (the right bank of Jingmei Creek), near the head of Daonan Bridge. Walk on the embankment. If you don’t pay special attention, you may miss it. Although the landform is not what it used to be, the monument can make future generations cherish the memory of the past.
