★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great local restaurant/tea house serving delicious and comforting food. Ordered a congee with scallops, salted egg with tofu, steam fresh fish and a crispy taro with shredded duck. All were YUM and plates were polished clean.
Service was lacking but this was probably due to the fact that it was packed with customers.
I came during lunch on a weekday and it was packed so best to make reservations!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The congee was very delicious. We ordered two, one with crab and one with fish. The crab one tastes very amazingly fresh and sweet. Love the congee here. The outside patio seat was very comfy with afternoon sunshine. Highly recommend this place for everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food. But need to wait for 30 minutes to have 1 dish (duck with taro) so we didn't order it. It's a shame when you can spend only 1 day in Taichung and you want to try special food. Fast service for the rest of the order.

The restaurant takes advantage of very old fashion bungalow hidden in the seldom-visited corner of Taichung City that will absolutely satisfy your curiosity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great local restaurant/tea house hidden by in an obvious location (sounds weird, but true). Very low key... The menu listed an array of comfort food for everyone, very extended and portions are big! Best to go with family or a group of 6 or more. Delicious!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant building is clearly from old generation traditional Taiwanese house. It really gives you a home feel when you walk in.
The staff is friendly and with great service.
The porridges we ordered were amazingly simple but tasty. All the side dishes are very good as well. We would definitely visit again.
the only improvements
1. how to serve the food on the table better so they don't need to wait for customers to help them.
2. better cleaning and maintenance around the faucet area because the faucet was not clean and the hand soup bottle was broken.
