★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're riding around the island this is a very nice break from the expressways. Well maintained paths that take you along the coast, often on the tops of seawalls. Not a lot of shade along the path, so can be a bit hot if the sun is intense.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great day trip. There are no you bike in Nan Liao so I took a local train to Xiangshan where you bike is right outside the station 。Local train runs every half hour from Hsinchu. My Chinese is not good so prefer You Bike. Took me an hour and a half against the wind to get to Nan Liao. Here now, eating at 7-Eleven, soba and a sweet potato. Don't care for fish...now just need some energy to bike back...very flat and east, I am 58 and it was not a problem but mostly 2nd gear due to the strong wind. Today is a holiday so many little food trucks along the path along with bathrooms. Highly recommend as a day trip from Taipei or Hsinchu. I came out yesterday and spent the night in Hsinchu arriving at Xiangshan at 1015 AM.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s very relaxing and interesting to explore beautiful sceneries of coastline on bike. The total length of the biking trail is 17 km, which means 34 km for the round trip. The trail is safe but full of visitors on holidays. Be careful to look after the kids.
It’s easy to rent a bike from the bike shops even for kids’ bikes or a four-person electric bike. If you have a EasyCard, Youbike is also available but adult bikes only.
Don’t forget to snap photos to catch stunning sunset and enjoy seafood there. Great for family fun time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One good place if you would like to enjoy the west coast with family and friends. Small market for eateries, games and other stuffs. Can't get close to water, the currents are very strong and the waves look scary.
