Quality of the food is top notch!
We had 8 different kind of pastry and each one is amazing! We will definetly come back again!

We are back again. Arrived at 1pm. Had some pastry and the are still as good as before. However we are kind of disappointed as the crossiant we wanted is sold out. Hope to have it next time! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite disappointed to be honest as they all look so pretty. But the taste doesn't live up to the look. eclairs choux pastry is damped. Flavours is only soso. Cherry Croissant does not have the right croissant texture and way too doughy. Only 3 flavours left for eclairs on a Sunday afternoon which is also very disappointing.

This is the 2nd shop, the 1st one is on Ren'ai Road.
I had the éclairs before in the 1st shop (loved it), so I tried something different this time.
Chocolate pound cake (Sugar Free), yes it's sugar free, and you won't know it once you asked. It's moist inside, so it won't break up once it's sliced up. Taste with strong chocolate taste without being too sweet. Sweetness is just enough you won't realise it's sugar free.
The owners are really friendly.
I hope they can open a shop in Zhongli.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Picked up my order today at their Ren Ai shop. I am a Mont Blanc maniac and found 1789 Mont Blanc is absolutely amazing. Apart from the usual purée, you can find chestnut pieces and chestnut paste in every single bite. Love it, Thumbs up. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well-made classic French desserts, nothing out of the ordinary or particularly innovative. Most of the cakes are a tad smaller than found elsewhere but the price sort of reflects that.
There are also macarons, chocolates, truffles, and cookies apart from the cakes. Dining space is fairly limited and can seat about 14 ppx. They don't take phone reservation for the cakes, so you'd have to visit in person.
The whole space is decorated lavender and white, and bathroom is also very clean. It's a great place to spend a few hrs in the afternoon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As far as I know, this is the only place in Taipei that sells genuine éclairs. I definitely recommend the salted caramel ones. They also sell king cake (a.k.a "Galette des rois") around the end of the year and those are delicious. Their "pains au chocolat" are also quite nice and cheap (60元). Prices are reasonable considering how good and hard to find these products are.
