★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good place for noodle, the owner was once at Room 18 as main chef and got championship ot Beef noodle, then moved to Maple, I knew him there and his food was excellent then, later he left but I didn't know where he went until my friend told me he opened a Beef noodle shop. Only open at night time till 2 Am still like Maple time. I don't eat beef but still went there right away tried chicken soup noodle, still that good, surely come back soon

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I usually try not to go to Taiwanese places who have won previous awards as they usually start slacking off, but decided to come here due to a friend’s recommendation and I’m glad I did.
I ordered the Red-Cooked Beef Noodle Soup/2011紅燒冠軍牛肉麵, which has a variety of options to choose from ($198 NT). The dish usually comes with half tendon, half meat, you can pick your type of noodle (thick or thin), and whether or not you want green onions or cilantro. I ended up getting all meat, thick noodles, and no cilantro.
The soup was great and had a great depth to it. They also added a meatball similar to a mini-lion’s head meatball (獅子頭) along with some fresh diced tomatoes, which were interesting but great additions to the classic dish. The meat was relatively thick but extremely tender and cooked for the perfect amount of time.
I would highly recommend this shop. Would love to try the other soups too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This award winning beef noodle shop is another must try place for people who is planning to visit Tongwah night market. Their soup is light but flavorful, soy based soup with Chinese herb and spices add another layer to the soup, its not overpowering other elements but actually complimenting it.
Thick cut noodle is cooked perfectly, non soggy and able to hold more flavor from the soup, beef is juicy and tender, it will literally melt in your mouth. Amazing experience and absolutely delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are about 1000+ beef noodle soup restaurants in Taipei and I must say most of them are pretty good.
But .... if you wake up at 2am and wanted to have a decent snack, this would be heaven for you. The beef was super tender and the broth was full of favour. The noodle was a little hard for my liking but it was still an overall 90+ beef noodle for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their side dishes are crazy good. Unfortunately, beef noodles aren't. The soup have very little taste, and its watery. Meat is fine but nothing special. Thin noodles are well cooked and have nice texture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It doesn't waste its good rating at Google map. I have to say the beef noodle is quite good. The noodles per se are crispy and beefy. A good combination with noodles and soup. You can really chew the chunky beef unlike chewing rubber. I probably can bring my mom to chew the chunky beef with her dentures. The tendons taste like ungreasy beef fat, effortless to bite off. The only one thing I don't like is the soup. If you only eat the soup it's quite salty. Perhaps I just like to eat soup for its original flavor. I'm wrong with this one. Last but not least the red hot chili peppers are awesome. Mouth watering good.
