Wugukeng is the first self-built chapel in the northern church. It was officially opened on March 2, 1873. When Dr. Ma Kai was preaching in Tamsui at that time, a widow Chen Tafu in Wugukeng came to Mudao and was moved by the pastor to Wugu missionary to be welcomed by the villagers. The villagers admired the people, and the first self-built church in the north opened, but the opponents went to Yamen and told Ma Ma to build a battery. After investigation, it was found to be inconsistent with the facts. The church building ministry was on March 2, 1873. On the day of completion, Yan Qinghua was the first evangelist in the church. Seven people were baptized in the following year. On September 17, 1876, the first female believer in the northern church was baptized. On September 2, 1877, the chief of the village, Chen Pao, the enthusiastic victim, and Chen Tian, ​​who was returning to the water (now Xizhi), and Chen Yuan, the Taipei Dragon Dragon, were named as the first elders of the northern church. Mrs. Kai is the first female believer of the northern church. Ms. Zhang Congmin is a member of Wugu Church.
