★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 肆意竄改歷史，紀念碑文使用了日幣幣值，完工日期卻是民國十五年？大正15年變成民國十五年！枉費如此美麗的紀念碑。我相信原始的碑文一定也是非常美的！可惜了！

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 水庫舊稱基隆水道貯水池。基隆水道最初為１８９８年為解決基隆用水問題而聘請英國工程師William Burton來台灣指導，在暖暖設置抽水站，並興建攔河堰，為全台第２個自來供水系統。後因不敷使用，再於１９２３年興建水庫（貯水池），於１９２６年完工，完工時以水管製造紀念碑。
The reservoir was formerly known as Keelung Waterway Storage Tank. Keelung Waterway originally hired British engineer William Burton to come to Taiwan in 1898 to solve Keelung's water problems. He set up a pumping station in Nuannuan and built a weir, which was the second water supply system in Taiwan. Later, due to insufficient use, a reservoir (storage tank) was built in 1923 and completed in 1926. When completed, the monument was made with water pipes.
