★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant, on the 8th floor of the local department store, does a decent job at looking Japanese.
Unfortunately, the illusion stops there.
We had the 4 people set menu, and not a single dish brought to us was up to even basic Japanese food standards... the tempura even looked wrong, the teppanyaki was wrongly seasoned, the grilled fish too salty...
I don’t understand how such an establishment can so pretend to be “日本料理” in a place like Taiwan, where excellent and authentic Japanese food can be found almost anywhere, even in small local nigh markets...!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located on the 9th floor, the dining room has a great view of the city. Tasty Japanese food. Set menus are somewhat reasonably priced. Individually ordered items are rather expensive for the quality. Decent service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't know why the other reviews are really bad about the restaurant. The sukiyaki set and the beef steak set were both good but the steak was better. The desserts were also great. The taste of water drop pudding(?) was like Japanese dang-go. And i also enjoyed the view of the city while i was having my lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food itself was actually alright. However can't say the same for the service. Ordered a tempura set menu, and as I do not eat squash, asked if they could change it to something else for me, even something that is cheaper would be fine. Waitress told me that thats not an option and they will just serve it whether I want it or not and won't make a difference to price.
I was quite surprised by the response as at no time did I ask for a discount.
Don't think I will be back.
