Holy! ...The new temple of my lord that shocked my heart, the beloved Xizhi, and the brothers and sisters of the diocese of Taipei are really good examples of faith for all the faithful. In just over ten years, they have not only renewed the old chapels that were damaged by floods, but also Resurrected, more believers gathered here, praying for the Lord’s blessings to be forever and ever, and spread to every corner of Taiwan.

In 1953, the French Franciscan Fellow, Father Wang Yide came to Datong Road to rent a private house to start the evangelization work. The following year, the Belgian Franciscans funded the purchase of the current site, and built the second floor garden house as the first generation of the St. Francis of Heaven. In 1960, when the Fr. Franciscan Fellow of the Franciscans was in charge of the priests, in view of the increasing number of church members, the Church of God was no longer used. It added the surrounding fields and built the second generation of the new church in 1963, the following year, October 4 On the Franciscan Day, the opening ceremony was held. Between 1987 and 2001, under the unrelenting rectification of the Keelung River, every time the typhoon brought heavy rain to the area, it formed a water town of Zeguo. Once again, the main hall was flooded with a depth of 2.88 meters, and the first floor was nearly destroyed. After years of typhoon infiltration, the aging of the Catholic Church was accelerated. Father Lin Jialong, who was in office at the time, proposed to rebuild the third generation of the Catholic Church. It was immediately supported by the Belgian Franciscans. On December 5, 2015, the construction ceremony of the new project was held. Construction began on December 12 and is expected to be completed in three years (2018). The main project is now nearing completion. During the construction period, the mass location was temporarily changed to B1, No. 2, Lane 551, Section 2, Datong Road, Yuzhi District, which is the basement of the Presbyterian Church (opposite to the stop railway station). It is presided over by the current director, Mr. Jiang Jiaming.
