姜子頭山展望台 - Section 2

Cycling on Xiping Road is also a place to rest here, because I have been riding Xiping Road for about 9 kilometers. There are two pavilions and stone sculptures of several animals. These buildings should have been built by Liao Xueguang when he was the mayor. This section is also a section with a high CP value for cycling, which is nearly 9 kilometers away from the Taiwan Fifth Line and is about 470 meters above sea level. It is 540 meters away from the highest point of Xiping Road, and 2.2 kilometers away, and then all the way downhill to Pingxi. When you pass the Panshiling Observation Deck, you will encounter a section similar to 9 turns and 18 turns. The scenery is very beautiful. In December, the maple leaves on both sides of the road turn red and the miscanthus is in full bloom. Regardless of cycling, heavy machinery, driving (slow down), it’s worth a visit

20200809 is located in a park-like green area beside Xiping Highway. There are pavilions and several animal statues, but no toilets. It is occasionally used as a rest base for tourists, because after all, the higher altitude will lower the temperature somewhat. The Jiangzitou mountain climbing pass is also located near this area. At the turning point near the backing wall of the Pingxi section, there is a wooden sign indicating the Jiangzitou mountain climbing pass.

This place should be regarded as the commanding height of the Xiping Highway. There was a coffee cart during the last holiday. There were no two gazebos, several stone tables and chairs, and statues of stone camels, stone horses, and stones. Because the view is mostly blocked by the trees, but it ’s a good place to rest and have a picnic.

#Xiping road-view Last night, I accidentally broke into Xiping Road from Pingxi. I went home and checked it. It was said that this road was a small and beautiful mountain road in northern Taiwan. Today, I drove from Pingxi into Xiping Road during the day to get a glimpse of her beauty. After a few hairpin bends, a beautiful green forest view of cascading mountains developed. We were 7 kilometers away and walked for about 1 hour. This mountain road is flat and spacious, with not many vehicles and tourists, and there are many places. Resting points are a good choice for cycling and hiking.
