The building itself would be beautiful but it's time to renovate. Cannot enter into the building.

It's free to go inside, just walk for 10 minutes inside to enjoy the chilling garden, then it's enough!!

Misleading as the title is, it's not a hotel anymore. It's a historic building preserving the history of Japanese colonization. The building is forbidden to enter with red tapes making it less interesting and photogenic than it should be.

Crown Prince Chalet is located at New Taipei City, Ruifang District’s Jinguang Road; a highland location surrounded by dense trees. As a result, it possesses a secretive and hidden element. It was originally built for Japan’s Showa Crown Prince when he came to Taiwan to inspect minerals during the year 1922. During construction, large quantities of cypress wood were used to build a Japanese style residence. Only cypress wood of the finest quality was selected, and no nails were used at all; instead everything was combined using bamboo joints. One of its many amenities include an European style leisure room, equipped with vacation functions. On the north side is a beautiful Japanese garden, while on the south side there is a mini golf course and archery field. The museum has a living room and waiting room, built out of cypress, red sandalwood, and cherry wood. The building architecture as a whole can be considered elegant and refined, and can be divided into Crown Prince living rooms (including sitting room and study), visitor rooms ( including living room), VIP rooms (including living room), and guard room.
