*This review is not about Sandiao Coal Mine, but about the mountain residence located next to it* Located in Sandiaoling and Sandiao Coal Mine, the mountain residence provides reservation-style breakfast (lunch) meals. In this first visit, I will first say the conclusion: having breakfast in the mountain residence is a fantastic and wonderful experience. Sandiaoling, where the mountain residence is located, was originally a somewhat strange place. It was once a railway (but there are very few trains), but the end of the road. Because of this, except for the hikers going to the Sandiaoling Ancient Road, it is basically sparsely populated. The environment is quiet and has the feeling of "secret"; in addition, the space of the mountain dwelling uses the pit inspection room next to the entrance of the Sandiao Coal Mine. The ancient mine hut in the secret environment has its speciality in the light environment of the mountain. The environment is special and the things are delicious. I think "farmhouse, personality and ideas, fresh and delicious" may describe the mountain residence itself to a certain extent. Some of the store’s ingredients are purchased from the local market that day, but some are grown and cultivated by themselves, such as lettuce dishes. The store even raises chickens. The eggs used in breakfast are picked from their own chicken farm and made with such ingredients. The breakfast, freshness is the most basic. But in addition to freshness, the overall seasoning is also very good, whether it is (the teacher’s self-eaten) grilled tomato bread, chicken with green sauce, or the rich and colorful fruits and vegetables, and the poached egg, it’s really good when you enjoy it together. The two ideas of "freshness" and "deliciousness" are vividly permeating my mind and thoughts. This is a five-star farm breakfast with ideas, sincerity, and technology. Saniao Coal Mine has been abandoned, only one tunnel remains. Next to the Saniao Coal Mine is now a coffee shop called "Shanyu". The coffee shop is very distinctive. It has two floors. Downstairs is a bar table where you can see the boss cooking. The outdoor area upstairs has a good view, but there are quite a few mosquitoes. The interior area is very furnished and comfortable. The boss occasionally opens a store, so check the business status on FB or IG before coming. The meal ordered was a simple breakfast, which was delicious and beautifully presented. Shepherd's pie is potato, delicious and distinctive. Honey lemon juice is a bit sour. A relaxing little shop. About 25 minutes walk from the station. Remember to count the time, if you miss the train, you will have to wait another hour~
